Residence Permit Based on Employment for Refugees in Slovakia – Simplification of Legislation
As of July 15, 2024, important changes to the Act on the Residence of Foreigners in Slovakia have come into effect.
If you hold temporary protection status and have been officially working in Slovakia for more than 6 months, you can now apply for a residence permit for the purpose of employment through a simplified process:
🔹 No labor market test required 🔹 Work permit from the labor office is issued automatically 🔹 Application submission at the police is possible after scheduling an appointment and preparing a minimal set of documents
